About

While unpacking boxes of old family books, Elizabeth Gilbert rediscovered a dusty, yellowed hardcover written by her great-grandmother, Margaret Yardley Potter. What she found was a book far ahead of its time: part scholar, part culinary crusader, Potter championed farmer's markets and ethnic food, derided preservatives and shortcuts, and celebrated a devotion to epicurean adventure. Reading it, it's not hard to see where Gilbert inherited her great-grandmother's love of food and her warm, infectious prose. Gold Collective designed the cover, then extended the visual system into the Eat, Drink, Bake collection — three screenprinted posters and a set of screenprinted tea towels.
